L’Arcangelo (the Archangel), incorporated as a besloten vennootschap (“B.V.”, or private limited liability company) under Dutch law, is a venture of former high-end lawyer (advocaat) Elisabetta Aarts, a well-known and highly regarded legal specialist in the energy sector.

Work
L’ Arcangelo offers stand-alone advisory and drafting services across the field of energy contracting and regulation, as well as legal support in transactions that involve energy sector businesses, contracts or assets, or that are sensitive to energy sector regulatory or commercial developments. Legal counseling is offered in other areas of private and public law, both contentious and non-contentious.
Recent and ongoing projects include:
- Legal and strategic advice on the restructuring of a privately owned real estate investment group
- Regulatory advice and contractual arrangements regarding structures for multiple-entity energy supply over single grid connections
- Regulatory advice on the use of administrative or “virtual” grid connections
- Drafting of contract and related documentation underpinning the largest long-term renewable gas supply transaction in the Netherlands to-date
- Regulatory advice on the marketability and fungibility of renewable energy credits

Fees
Fees strike clients as uncommonly modest.
